Oekaki collects as little as possible. Here's exactly what happens to your data.

Your drawings

Oekaki is peer-to-peer: your strokes travel directly between participants' browsers over WebRTC. No board content is stored on our servers. A sheet lives only in the open browsers and is gone once everyone leaves, unless someone exports it. There are no accounts and we never ask for personal information.

Connection data

To connect peers, a signaling server briefly handles connection details (including IP addresses) so browsers can find each other. This is used only to set up the connection and is not stored.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, loaded via Google Tag Manager, to understand how Oekaki is used (page views, device type, approximate region). It sets cookies and shares usage data with Google, acting as our processor; see Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Your content & conduct

You are responsible for what you draw and share. Don't use Oekaki for anything unlawful, harmful, or that infringes others' rights.

How sharing works

Sheets are shared by link and synced peer-to-peer. Anyone with a sheet's URL can view and edit it, and the content lives only in participants' browsers, so we can't moderate, recover, or delete it for you.

To the extent permitted by law, Oekaki and its authors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the service.
